Manny García-Tuñón

Manny Garcia-Tuñon is Part-Owner and Executive Vice President of Lemartec, an international design-build firm headquartered in Miami, Florida. His tenure in the firm began during his teenage years working on construction sites where he gained valuable first-hand experience from the ground up. After graduating from high school, Manny’s desire to attain business-development experience in Corporate America, while pursuing his degree, led him to develop opportunities in the financial and marketing industries where he eventually founded his own production/promotion company. As a result of a national corporate brand marketing campaign, he launched Havana Nights, a big-band mambo revival on South Beach. The show’s broad appeal attracted Hispanics and non-Hispanics, both young and old alike. It wasn’t long before Manny realized that Havana Nights was unexpectedly bridging the generation-gap between young Hispanic-Americans and their immigrant parents and grandparents while introducing his Hispanic culture into the mainstream. By the time Havana Nights completed its run, Manny had amassed invaluable experience that would serve him well in the years to come.

After nine years outside of the firm, Manny returned to Lemartec with a new sense of purpose – always seeking to improve and grow the company. As Director of Marketing and Sales, he was instrumental in developing initiatives that would expand the company’s reach into new domestic and international markets. As a way of giving back to the community, Manny developed Lemartec’s Minority Utilization Program to help empower minority businesses by ensuring an equitable disbursement of subcontracts to minority firms on Lemartec projects. Throughout this process of corporate and business development, Manny helped create and implement techniques to help foster and manage Lemartec’s expansion. He turned to writing as a means of sharing his message of achieving Ultimate Success and his articles have been published in national magazines. Today, Manny’s weekly business column appears in The Miami Herald’s El Nuevo Herald, one of the largest Spanish-language daily newspaper and websites in the United States. In addition to his writing, Manny is also a sought-after speaker with a personal mission of empowering small businesses and connecting them with practical resources to help them succeed. He has been invited to speak to local, national, and multi-national companies of every size throughout the country. Manny’s focus is on promoting diversity as a source of strength. His message is based on the principle of “connecting”, and helps organizations to discover the fundamental and inherent power each member of the team has to create value.

"The better you connect with your team, the better your team will perform. The better you connect with your customers, the more of them you’ll have. That’s good business. That’s the bottom line.”
